West Virginia Getaway

Suzy had a "weekend off"..................getaway !!.

On the spur of the moment we made a five hour trip deep into the interior of wonderful n wild West Virginia on January 24-25, 2009. A brief respite at the "HAWKS NEST" overlooking the New River gorge was total relaxation, and included "dinner theatre" on Saturday night

Photos include Saturday morning breakfast at a cozy "greasy spoon" in Moorefield, WV, suggested to us by a flagman at a highway project as we entered town.

Carnivor...off leash !!

Tululah came running back to the car from the elementary school playground with THIS firmly clenched in her canines. She was so proud, I couldn"t take it away. She blithly jumped right in the car...never missing a beat.

SIT n SPIN

actually not "spinning" wool; but Suzy is balling yarn to knit me a warm woolie sweater. I merely sit back in my "command central" recliner and fly my mini helicopter over to harass her.

Beach Sojourn

Suzy and I visited Sarah and Luke at their beachfront condo in Norfolk, VA on January 14-15. It was the beginning of a "cold snap" not experienced in Virginia in many years. The dogs loved it...however there were no others at the "bark park".
